OOH Community Rallies to Help Dave Johnson Beat Cancer

ATLANTA, GA: The Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising industry is coming together in support  of one of its own — Dave Johnson, a respected colleague, husband, and father of two young  boys — as he battles an aggressive form of cancer. 

Dave has been a familiar face across the OOH landscape through his work with Olympus  Media, OUTFRONT Media, Adams Outdoor, and Circle Graphics. Now, he’s facing the  toughest fight of his life and the industry he’s poured his career into is rallying to return the  favor. 

A new campaign titled “Help Dave Beat Cancer” is mobilizing OOH companies nationwide to  donate digital billboard space and spread awareness of Dave’s story through the website  www.PrayForDave.com. The site shares updates on Dave’s journey and provides multiple ways  for individuals and companies to contribute toward his $200,000 goal for life-saving treatment at  Envita Medical Center in Scottsdale, Arizona. 

The creative, designed by Eddy Herty (VP, National Creative Director of OUTFRONT Studios  at OUTFRONT Media), is available in standard digital billboard sizes and can be displayed as a  public service message (PSA) at no cost. The simple, heartfelt design reads “Help Dave Beat  Cancer” and “PrayForDave.com”, serving as both a call for support and a unifying message of  hope within the industry. 

“Dave has given so much to this business — from sales to leadership to helping others grow,”  said Jonathan Graviss, co-owner of Graviss Marketing. “This is an opportunity for the OOH  family to do what it does best — come together to help one of our own.” 

Participating operators are encouraged to run the PSA across their digital networks throughout  November and December, helping raise awareness and drive donations directly to  PrayForDave.com
