What Drives You to Work in OOH? by Shane Hutton

What drives you to work in OOH?

Watchfire Signs

Another great thing about billboards is that they aren’t just for huge national brands; they work just as well for small mom-and-pop shops. Whether a product like Coke is trying to increase global revenue during the holidays, or a local dentist is introducing his new office to the community, billboards can connect the buyer with the product or service in a simple, effective way.

For account reps, it’s about relationships and results. They get to work with local business owners who pour their hearts into what they do. Helping a small business find its voice and stand out in their community through a great billboard campaign can be incredibly fulfilling. There’s pride in knowing your work directly helped a local restaurant fill tables or a new store get discovered.

For owners and operators, it’s about legacy. Many OOH companies are family-run or built from the ground up. There’s pride in maintaining a network that literally shapes how a community looks and feels — and in being part of an industry that connects people and ideas in such a visual, lasting way.

At the end of the day, what drives us all in OOH is the same thing: passion. It’s the excitement of big ideas, the love for creativity, and the simple joy of seeing your hard work on display for the world to see.

That’s why we do it. That’s what keeps us coming back.
