Zig Ziglar Sales book OOH Billboards

Secrets of Closing the Sale – Zig Siglar

This one’s a classic. Everyone in OOH sales at our sister company, Roland Digital Media, gets a copy to read when they start. From the psychology of closing to the nuts and bolts of selling, it’s no wonder this is the only purely sales book to make the New York Times Best-Seller list.

From Poop to Gold – Chris Jones

The Harman Brothers brought us viral videos in the form of ads/commercials with the Squatty Potty, Chatbooks and Purple Mattress. Their marketing method involved using comedy to create a bond between advertiser and consumer. Their video ads have had millions of views and they have a method that can be replicated in their book and or online course.

This is one of their most popular ads. Notice how they sell the product with comedy and relatability.

Little Red Book of Selling – Jeffrey Gitomer

Salespeople hate to read. That’s why Little Red Book of Selling is short, sweet, and to the point. It’s packed with answers that people are searching for in order to help them make sales for the moment―and the rest of their lives. This is a slightly older book (2004) but its principles are still relevant today.

“People don’t like to be sold, but they love to buy”

Purple Cow – Seth Godin

You’re either a Purple Cow or you’re not. You’re either remarkable or invisible. Make your choice. What do Apple, Starbucks & Dyson have in common? How do they achieve spectacular growth, leaving behind former tried-and-true brands to gasp their last? The old checklist of P’s used by marketers – Pricing, Promotion, Publicity – aren’t working anymore.

“Stand out like a purple cow”
