PPDS, MMD, TP Vision and AOC team up for iconic Netherlands ‘Dam tot Damloop’ running event to raise vital funds for the Eye Care Foundation

TPV Cares: Teams from PPDS, MMD Monitors and Displays, TP Vision, and AOC joined forces in raising potentially life-changing funds for the Amsterdam based international charity – devoted to preventing and curing avoidable blindness in developing countries – participating in one of the Netherlands’ largest and most iconic running events, the 10 mile (16.1km) ‘Dam tot Damloop.’
Amsterdam, 24 September 2025: PPDS, the exclusive global provider of Philips Professional Displays, together with colleagues at MMD Monitors and Displays, TP Vision, and AOC, have teamed up to conquer the annual ‘Dam tot Damloop’ – the Netherlands’ largest and most iconic running event – to raise invaluable funds for international charity, the Eye Care Foundation for the second consecutive year.
Running as part of TPV Cares – a foundation that harnesses the talents of its teams and its technologies to bring life-changing help and support to people and communities in more than 200 countries and territories – members from each business unit came together on 21 September, to take part in the 10 mile (16.1-kilometre) two city route, which started in Amsterdam and finished in Zaandam.
Joining approximately 35,000 other enthusiastic runners, the latest TPV Cares charity initiative united colleagues in supporting the Eye Care Foundation, an Amsterdam based, not for profit organisation, in helping to prevent and cure avoidable blindness and visual impairment in developing countries, such as Nepal, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Ecuador, Tanzania, Suriname, Zambia and Rwanda.
Their participation not only contributed to the success of this year’s Dam tot Damloop, but also further reflected and reinforced the group’s values of care, commitment, and community, while supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals – in this case SDG3 – Good Health and Well-being.
Vision and eye care remain a major global challenge, with the WHO reporting that at least 2.2 billion people worldwide are navigating near or distance vision impairment. To date, the Eye Care Foundation has helped provide over 7,484,000 eye screenings to people worldwide, along with more than 805,400 eye surgeries and over 63,000 pairs of eyeglasses.
Marion Chaignon, Senior Marketing Manager EMEA at PPDS, said: “With every stride, the runners not only contributed to the success of this year’s Dam tot Damloop – we also reinforced the shared commitment of PPDS, MMD, TP Vision, and AOC to support communities worldwide.”
“The team spirit and camaraderie at events like this makes the 10 miles – that’s 16 kilometres – of the Dam tot Damloop feel easy. Running through the IJ Tunnel is an obvious highlight, but the course gives a unique view of these two cities as well. This was my second year taking part in this event, and I thank my team members, and TPV Cares, for the opportunity.”
Stefan van Sabben, Global CSR and Sustainability Lead at PPDS, shared his pride in the team’s efforts, saying: “Sustaining long term partnerships with charities such as the Eye Care Foundation is incredibly important to us. These relationships allow us to create real, lasting impact. I am especially proud that colleagues from across our organisation have stepped up once again to support this vital cause, demonstrating the dedication and spirit that define our company culture.”
