Ai Generated Billboard Ad Design is Here… Kinda
The billboard artwork pictured was generated by artificial intelligence (Ai). Simply by providing a single sentence such as “A billboard advertisement for Coca-Cola with a woman” or “A photo of a billboard with a fun advertisement on it”.
Tasty Ad we recently granted a test account for DALL-E. One of the pioneers in Ai generated images and artwork. We decided to test its capabilities on a few billboard ads. As you can see, the results are anywhere from bizarre to impressive. One major flaw is the use of text, as it seems to misspell words purposely.
Something to keep in mind: the image generator completely draws everything from scratch, only using real images as a reference.

Ai-generated art is still in its infancy as you can tell. But I have to admit it’s fun to play with. I don’t think designers have anything to worry about, at least not for a while.

I will say Dall-E does some more impressive artwork when you are looking for unique objects, backgrounds, etc., and not trying to create an advertisement.
