Why Panels Still Have a Place in Outdoor Advertising

By Kyle Boatner, Kyle’s Sign & Crane
When it comes to outdoor advertising, the right panels make all the difference. Over the years, I’ve worked with all types of panels. Each has its strengths, but I’ve found that panels still hold their own in today’s market.
Panels may not be the top choice for extreme weather zones, but in favorable conditions, they perform well and continue to prove reliable. One big advantage we’ve seen is how vinyl behaves on panels compared to windframes. In our area, windframes tend to let vinyls blow out during storms, which creates more maintenance and extra trips for replacements. Panels, on the other hand, keep the vinyl in place longer. At the end of the day, that means less work, less downtime, and more value for the advertiser.
Installation is another area where panels shine. They’re straightforward to put up, and the galvanized shiny finish makes them stand out even when they’re empty. That kind of visibility is important for attracting advertisers and keeping a location looking active.
At Kyle’s Sign & Crane, we continue to produce panels based on the results we’ve seen firsthand. They may not be the flashiest option on the market, but they work hard, last long, and keep billboard campaigns running smoothly.
